The AAC is accepting applications for the following position with the 2023 AAC National Team Management Committee (NTMC): HEALTHCARE PROVIDER
Consider applying to be AAC National Team Healthcare Provider. The 2023 AAC National Team will be competing at the IFCS World Agility Championship in Great Britain from July 30th to August 7th, 2023.
REQUIREMENTS
Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.
Minimum of 18 years old of age.
Not an applicant or competitor for the 2023 AAC National Team.
Agree to comply with the AAC Rules and Regulations and adhere to the AAC Code of Conduct.
Agree to abide by all NTMC-approved recommendations.
Agree to maintain confidentiality on Committee deliberations.
MORE INFORMATION
Fees for the Airline, hotel, rental car (shared with the other HealthCare), and a team uniform for 2023 IFCS WAC will be covered by the NTMC.
Healthcare providers will be given a small salary to treat all the dogs of the Team, this will be decided later on by the NTMC.
This is a non-voting position on the NTMC and is for a term of up to 1 year.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Provide advice to the 2023 AAC National Team members on how to physically prepare their dog(s) in the months leading up to the IFCS 2023 World Agility Championship.
Provide Team members with warm-up and cool-down exercises so they can do their own warm-up and cool-down at IFCS.
Travel with the 2023 AAC National Team to provide canine treatments, as required.
Assist with the sponsorship/fundraising effort(s) dedicated to travel expenses for the 2023 AAC National Team Healthcare Provider
Those with previous experience looking after dogs at an international agility competition and/or veterinarians will be given priority, as will chiropractors who can meet the needs of both human and canine athletes. Excellent communication and people skills, a flexible schedule, and bilingualism will also be considered assets.
